Eric spent 25 years in corporate America, in management positions with MCI Telecommunications, Electronic Data Systems and Hewlett Packard.
He is also a published author of the children's book, Clinky the Clown and the Secret of Happyville. The chapter book is written for 9 – 12 year olds and focuses on various life lessons.
Eric has also been recognized for his efforts to promote personal and professional growth in and around his community:
Named the 2014 Wylie, Texas Citizen of the Year by the Wylie Chamber of Commerce.
Awarded the Community Ethics Award by the Rotary Club of Wylie East Fork.
Named as one of the 21 Leaders for the 21st Century in Collin County, Texas.
Eric Hogue currently serves as the minister of Cottonwood. He began working with the congregation in January 2007 as the associate minister and has served as the pulpit minister since August 2010.
He has been preaching for nearly 20 years, working with Texas congregations in Blue Ridge, Sachse and Cockrell Hill. His efforts with these congregations were to assist them to where they could grow and have the ability to hire a full-time minister.
Eric Hogue also serves as the Mayor of Wylie, Texas. He was elected by the citizens on May 10, 2008, and is currently in his fourth term. Eric and his wife, Tammie, have been married for over 32 years, and have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and the most perfect grandson in the world!
